Claudia Nyarko Mensah is a senior lecturer at the Department of Human Resource and Business Strategy committed and passionate about teaching, research and community service. Her research interest is mostly in the area of Sustainability, Environment Management, Environmental Economics and Human Capital. With a quality international research network, she has authored about thirty (30) with about twenty-seven (27) published in reputable journals indexed in Science Citation Index, Science Citation Index Expanded, Social Science Citation Index, Scopus, Emerging Sources Citation Index. She holds a PhD in Management Science and Engineering from Jiangsu University, PR China, MBA Management and Organisational Development from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi-Ghana. Dr. Mensah’s research interest is in Environment Management, Human Capital, Climate Change Mititgation Sustainability and Organisational Behaviour.
Dr. Mensah has been part of a number of funded research projects as; Research on China Green Innovation Performance Transition Mechanism Based on Foreign Direct Investment Reverse Technology Spillover, National Youth Fund Project of the Ministry of Education, The reverse knowledge spillover of OFDI and China’s green innovation efficiency enhancement, Effect of OFDI reverse knowledge spillover on Jiangsu’s green innovation efficiency, Jiangsu Provincial Natural Science Foundation Youth Project, Natural Science
Research Project of Universities in Jiangsu Province and Research on the Impact of Green Technology Innovation on Carbon Emission Efficiency in Cement Industry and Active Carbon Emission Reduction.
For teaching, Claudia currently handles courses both at postgraduate and undergraduate levels. Some postgraduate courses handled are; Strategic Human Resource Management and International Human Resource Management. Human Resource Planning, Introduction to Human Resource Management, Talent Management, Introduction to Human Resource Management, Customer Service Practice and Excellence in Customer Service are the undergraduate course handled. For research, Claudia supervises postgraduate and undergraduate thesis/dissertation both internally and externally for postgraduate programs. She is a member of the research committee of Faculty of Business Education, AAMUSTED and a panel judge for MPhil Management Quantitative Research conference. She in the past served the department of Management Sciences of the Ho Technical University as its head from February 2021 to July 2021 and a hall counselor for Autonomy Hall.
On the international front, Claudia is an adhoc reviewer for Journal of Cleaner Productions, Air Quality, Atmosphere, and Health, International Journal of Production Economics, Elsevier. Mitigation and Adaptation Strategies for Global Change Journal, Environmental Science and Pollution Research from Springerlink database, Energy Sources, Part B: E, Asian journal of technology innovation, Regional Economics Development Research also from Taylor and Francis database. She is a member of Lions Club International. Dr. Mensah has attended a number of academic conferences and presented in one of them. Claudia has received about three awards for academic excellence mostly assessed on the basis of research in Jiangsu University, China. Two awards were issued by the School of Management, Jiangsu University, PR, China and the last awarded by NUGS Nanjing, PR China.
