ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Undergraduate Programmes

WASSCE/SSCE Certificate Holders

Applicants must have grades (A1-C6/A-D, respectively) in Six (6) subjects comprising three (3) core subjects: including English Language and Core Mathematics, and three (3) elective subjects relevant to the programme of study.

GBCE Candidates

Must have at least a Grade of ‘D’ or better in English, Mathematics, and Science and three relevant subjects selected from Financial Accounting, Principles of Cost Accounting, Business Management, Economics, Business Mathematics, Office Practice, Marketing, Commerce, Business Law, Auditing and InformationTechnology.

Advanced Business Certificate (ABCE) Candidates

Must have the full Diploma Certificate. In addition, applicants must have five GBCE /SSCE/WASSCE passes (Grade D or better) in the three core subjects and any two relevant elective subjects.

Higher National Diploma Candidates

• Must have a minimum of Second Class Lower in the area of specialisation.
• Where the HND held by the applicant is not in the area of specialization applied for, the applicant may have to start at Level 100.

• HND holders who apply for courses in the same area of specialization will be

  placed at Level 300 for non-education-related programmes and Level 200 for education-related programmes.

Diploma Programmes

WASSCE/SSSCE Certificate Holders

Applicants must have grades (A1-D7/A-D, respectively) in three (3) core subjects: English Language, Mathematics, and Integrated Science/Social Studies; and MUST pass any Elective two elective subjects.

Postgraduate Programmes

MBA

Applicants must:

• A good first degree, preferably second class lower or better (or a Final Grade Point Average of at least, 2.0), in a relevant field of study at AAMUSTED or any recognised/accredited University. Applicants with third class may be considered for admission based on work experience and/or other qualifications.
• Pass a competitive examination/interview conducted by the University.
• Submit at least two satisfactory academic references.

Possession of at least, two years relevant working experience in the private or public sector will be an added advantage.

MPhil

Applicants must:

• Possess B.Sc., B.B.A or equivalent degrees with at least, Second Class (Lower Division) in the relevant area of study
• Possess M.Sc, MBA in equivalent degrees in the relevant area of study.
• Have attained a total of 36 Credit Hours
• Pass a competitive examination/interview conducted by the University
• Possess M.Sc, MBA or equivalent qualification. Successful applicantswill be admitted to the second year, to commence the synopsis presentation and thesis writing.
• Submit at least, two satisfactory academic references
