The Directorate of Research, International Programmes and Institutional Advancement wishes to inform the University about the Canadian government scholarships which staff can take advantage of to enrol at Memorial University, Canada.
These Canadian Scholarships are under the Global Affairs Canada’s International Scholarships Programme which aims to promote opportunities for students in post-secondary institutions to strengthen and diversify their international linkages and promote academic and research excellence.
The application portal would be opened for the 2024 – 2025 academic year in January/February 2024.
Key details of the scholarship are as follows:
- Eligibility Criteria: Must be a national of these countries – Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Ghana Ivory Coast, Kenya, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, Tanzania, Uganda.
- a student enrolled full-time post-secondary institution in an eligible country/territory
- paying tuition fees to that institution at the time of application and for the full duration of your exchange.
