Among others, the ITPDLL Board is responsible for the approval of results before publication. This the Board has been consistent and earnest, ensuring results of students go through laid-down procedures before being approved for publication. The seriousness and commitment attached to this business has resulted in early release of results of the affiliate Colleges of Education; a great relief to students and Management of the Colleges.

Since taking over mentorship of the affiliate Colleges of Education, the Institute has successfully conducted End of Semester Examination for First and Second Semesters of the 2023/2024 Academic year, and that of the First Semester of the 2024/2025 Academic Year. It has also supervised the conduct of mid-semester examinations and Residential Conference Marking of scripts after the Examinations.

The Institute has stayed committed to delivering on its mandate and has ensured timely publication of results via the AAMUSTED Information Support System (AISS), since the university assumed mentorship of the affiliate colleges. For the first time, students of the affiliate Colleges of Education were able to access their results online. An achievement the Institute and AAMUSTED are very proud of and a big relief to the affiliate Colleges.

The Centre for Quality Assurance, Assessment and Examination engages with the Directorate of Quality Assurance, Publication and Accreditation (QAPA) and the Colleges of Education Quality Assurance Officers to ensure standards are followed in accordance with accreditation requirements.

Until AAMUSTED took over mentorship of the affiliate Colleges, students of the Colleges only registered for their programmes manually. However, the Institute had been able to upload students’ data unto the AISS, making it possible for the students to register online. Again, a feat worth celebrating. That achievement was made possible through the Institute’s constant collaborations with the Head, Department of Information Technology Education (ITE), Dr. William Asiedu, Head of Software Development and Enterprise Resource Planning (SDERP), Mr. Michael Appiah, and cooperation of Management of the Colleges.

The Centre for Outreach and Distance Learning (CODL) of the Institute runs Diploma and Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) programmes at the following Study Centres:

  • Kumasi Technical University (KsTU)
  • Sakafia SHS, Kumasi
  • Tamale College of Education

In collaboration with GTEC and the T-TEL, the Centre also runs a special Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) for National Service Persons, which ongoing. In 2024, the University graduated one hundred and seventy-five (175) students at the Takoradi, Takyiman and Cape Coast Study Centres of the University, while twenty-two students graduated from the special PGDE programme. More than five hundred (500) students at the Kumasi and Tamale Study Centres would soon graduate.

Supported Teaching in Schools (STS) and Students Internship Programme (SIP) of the University continues to see improvement each year. The course is undertaken by for all Level 300 and 400 students in the University, who are pursuing education-related programmes – both Regular and Sandwich for those offering undergraduate programmes and PostgraduateDiploma in Education (PGDE).

Under the programme, students are made to undertake eight weeks of STS at various Basic and Senior High Schools (SHS) to understudy mentors, who are experienced professional teachers, and submit reports to their supervisors. Similarly, Level 400 students embark ontheir SIP at various Basic Schools and SHS across the country to teach under the supervision of mentors.
