THIRD GRADUATION: CONCERNS OF GRADUANDS![]()

Our attention has been drawn to concerns from some graduating students. The concerns relate to the use of a sister university’s Academic Gowns for the third graduation, rather than that of the Akenten Appiah-Menka University of Skills Training and Entrepreneurial Development (AAMUSTED).![]()

Concern was also raised about the Medallions for souvenirs.![]()
![]()
These concerns are very legitimate and appreciated. It is a demonstration of the loyalty and commitment of graduands to AAMUSTED. Indeed, you are proud of the AAMUSTED colours. We would have loved to have graduated students in AAMUSTED Academic Gowns. However, procurement and other constraints did not so permit.![]()

Management wishes to assure graduands that:![]()
![]()
1. the University has enough gowns to cover PhD and Master’s degree graduands.![]()
![]()
2. the University has a number of undergraduate gowns, although they are not enough to cover the large number of graduands. To ensure uniformity, Management had to use a sister university’s academic gowns. The University is currently sewing more undergraduate gowns.![]()

3. the decision was made in order not to further delay the third congregation so that graduands could receive their certificates for further studies, job opportunities, and other equally important businesses.![]()
![]()
4. graduands will receive their certificates immediately after the graduation ceremony.![]()
![]()
5. AAMUSTED undergraduate gowns would be available at the faculties, accredited photography stands, and AAMUSTED customised backdrops at the ceremonial grounds for students to take photographs.![]()

6. in the case of the medallion, an additional consignment is expected to arrive soon.![]()
![]()
Thus far, your efforts and hard work have culminated in the recognition of AAMUSTED, locally and internationally. Together, we have worked hard to build this enviable image and reputation of our University, so let us endeavour to protect it.![]()
