Centre for Quality Assurance, Assessment and Examinations (CQAAE)
The Centre for Quality Assurance, Assessment and Examinations is responsible for coordinating Quality Assurance programmes of the University’s affiliate Colleges of Education. It is also tasked with organisation of Examinations and Assessment of the students. Since December 2023 when AAMUSTED took over the mentorship of the eight (8) affiliate Colleges of Education, the Centre through the leadership of the Director, has effectively facilitated the conduct of End of Semester Examinations, Mid-Semester Examinations, Residential Conference Marking and timely publication of results for 2023/2024 Level 100 students. For 2024/2025 Levels 100 to 400 students, the Institute has successfully undertaken the End of First Semester Examination, Residential Conference Marking and post-marking activities. The Institute would soon publish the results of the students, immediately approval is given by the ITPDLL Board.
Centre for Supported Teaching in Schools and Internship (CSTSI)
The Centre for Supported Teaching in Schools and Internship (CSTSI) of the Institute is responsible for the implementation of professional teacher education programmes and activities in the University, especially, Supported Teaching in Schools (STS) and Student Internship Programme (SIP), which are mandatory courses for all students pursuing Education-related programmes in the University. The Centre is also responsible for providing manuals, guides and organise workshops and seminars for mentees or interns, mentors and supervisors in the University and its affiliate Colleges of Education. The Centre coordinatesdistribution of Internship Record Books (IRB) to all mentees before the mentees commenced their internship programmes.
Centre for Continuous Professional Development and Research (CCPDR)
The Centre for Continuous Professional Development and Research (CCPDR) is responsible for providing and coordinating professional development activities of staff of the affiliate Colleges of Education. It is in charge of facilitating improve in the research acumen of the staff to enhance quality teacher education in the affiliate Colleges. The Centre organises periodic workshops for Faculty and staff of the Colleges. It was very instrumental in organising the 2025 Course-Based Workshop for teaching staff and another one for library staff on the use of the AAMUSTED Online Library Resources.
Centre for Outreach and Distance Learning (CODL)
The Centre for Outreach and Distance Learning (CODL) of the Institute is responsible for leading and coordinating all outreach and distance programmes of the University. The Centre administers Diploma and Postgraduate Diploma in Education programmes at various study centres of the University, particularly for staff of institutions pursuing the aforementioned programmes to enable them to acquire pedagogic training and skills for teaching. Some of the study centres of the University were in Tamale, Ho, Cape Coast, and Kumasi. The Centre is also responsible for implementation of the Special Postgraduate Diploma in Education (SPGDE) for twenty-two (22) 2024 National Service Persons, who were sponsored by Transforming Teaching, Education and Learning (T-TEL) in selected public universities in the country. The centre has successfully facilitated the execution of the programme, and the students graduated. Currently, the seventy-nine National Service Persons of the 2025 batch have been enrolled and are pursuing the programme.
