1. Erasmus+ KA1 – Higher Education (2025/2026 Academic Year)

Host Institution: University of L’Aquila, Italy

The Akenten Appiah-Menka University of Skills Training and Entrepreneurial Development (AAMUSTED), through the Department of Research, International Programmes and Institutional Advancement (DRIPIA), invites applications from eligible staff to participate in the Erasmus+ KA1 Staff Mobility for Higher Education (2025/2026 Academic Year) at the University of L’Aquila, Italy.

2. Objective of the Programme

The Erasmus+ KA1 Staff Mobility Programme seeks to:

    • Enhance staff professional development through international exposure.
    • Promote exchange of best practices in teaching, research, and administration.
    • Strengthen institutional collaboration between AAMUSTED and the University of L’Aquila.

2. Areas of Priority

Applicants are particularly encouraged from any of the following thematic areas:

    1. Real Maths Programme – Mathematics for Real-World Applications: Activities focused on applying mathematical concepts to real-life and industry-based problems.
    2. Modelling and High-Performance Computing (HPC): Activities aimed at developing new collaborations, including participation in a Staff Week and/or an Intensive Programme on Mathematical Modelling and HPC Simulation.
    3. Cyber Security: Activities oriented towards the development of new academic and professional collaborations, including participation in a Staff Week and/or an Intensive Programme on an Interdisciplinary Approach to Cyber Security.

4. Eligibility

Applicants must:

    • Be full-time academic staff of AAMUSTED.
    • Hold a PhD in Applied Mathematics.
    • Must have a good research output
    • Demonstrate relevance of the mobility to their current role.
    • Possess a valid passport (or provide proof of application).
    • Commit to participate fully in the programme.

5. Funding

The Erasmus+ grant will cover:

    • Travel cost
    • Daily subsistence allowance (as per Erasmus+ rates)

6. Application Procedure

Interested staff should submit the following to DRIPIA:

    • Curriculum Vitae (maximum 3 pages).
    • Motivation Statement (not more than one page).

7. Deadline for Submission

All applications must be submitted to DRIPIA on or before January 14, 2026.
