The Akenten Appiah-Menka University of Skills Training and Entrepreneurial Development (AAMUSTED) has matriculated a total of 13,425 fresh students into its various programmes for the 2025/2026 Academic Year.

The number comprised 12,397 undergraduates and 1,028 postgraduates. Seven Thousand, Three Hundred and Thirty-Three (7,333) representing 54.22% of the number were males while 6,192 representing 45.78% were females.

Addressing the separate ceremonies organised for the matriculants at the Asante Mampong Campus and the Kumasi Campus on February 27, 2026, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Frederick K. Sarfo, commended the matriculants for making it through the University’s competitive admission processes successfully.

The Vice-Chancellor assured them that AAMUSTED was the ultimate educational pathway to unlimited opportunities. He explained that the University would equip them with well-thought-through skills and entrepreneurial training to teach TVET/ATVET, STEM, and Entrepreneurial Development in various institutions, bring innovation and improvement at their workplaces or go into self-employment, or open new jobs to employ others.

“Embrace the opportunities available at this University to improve your knowledge and competence to be able to satisfy the responsibility on you to make meaningful contributions to the progress of society and the nation,” he urged them.

Prof. Sarfo also assured them that the University was a good place to forge lasting friendships that could open doors to their greatness in the future. Therefore, he asked them to open up, learn hard, and become successful so they would be good ambassadors of AAMUSTED and support her development.

Touching on the facilities of the University, the Vice-Chancellor said the University was making concerted efforts to provide more facilities including modern laboratories, lecture halls, and a mini-sports complex to improve conditions for students’ comfort and convenience while pursuing their respective programmes.
