The Akenten Appiah-Menka University of Skills Training and Entrepreneurial Development (AAMUSTED) has matriculated the 2025 batch of sandwich students into the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

The December 17, 2025 ceremony which conferred Junior Member statuses on the fresh students was organised in-person for students at the Kumasi Campus with those from the Asante Mampong Campus joining in via virtual means.

Addressing the matriculants, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Frederick K. Sarfo, commended them for making it through the University’s rigorous admission processes successfully.

He said, out of 1,124 applications received for the 2025 Sandwich year, the University admitted 1,027, representing 91.7% of the applicants.

“However, he said, at the close of registration, 415 undergraduates and 544 postgraduates, totaling 959 students, comprising 32.2% males and 67.8% females, completed their registration.

According to him, AAMUSTED is committed to its mandate to provide training and education to help students develop relevant competencies, bring innovation and improvement to their workplaces, and create sustainable jobs to curb unemployment.

Prof. Sarfo encouraged the students double to up their efforts to cope with the demands of academic work, explaining that the sandwich sessions are very short and intensive.

“The journey to your professional and personal careers has begun, and as such, you are in a critical transitional period,” the Vice-Chancellor said.

The Registrar, Mr. Augustus Kwaw Brew, led the matriculants to take the matriculation oath, promising to be loyal members of AAMUSTED and study diligently.

The Pro Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Isaac Boateng and the Dean of the School of Graduate Studies, Prof. Humphrey Danso presented the Undergraduate and Postgraduate students respectively. Management members as well as many convocation members graced the ceremony.
