On behalf of the Board of the Faculty of Applied Sciences and Mathematics Education (FASME), I welcome all students, prospective students, faculty members and collaborators to the Akenten Appiah-Menka University of Skills Training and Entrepreneurial Development (AAMUSTED), Kumasi, Ghana. The faculty has the vision of becoming an internationally reputable centre for research, teaching and learning in Applied Sciences and Mathematics Education.

FASME has a mission to train competent professional teachers for all levels of education, conduct research, disseminate knowledge, and contribute to educational policy and development in Applied Science and Mathematics Education.The faculty runs full-time, evening, sandwich, undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes in Applied Sciences and Mathematics Education through its departments.

As a research institution, our graduate students are critical to advancing our research, teaching, and outreach mission. FASME has put in strategic measures to continuously recruit, train, and graduate the next generation of researchers, scholars, and writers in Ghana, Africa and the world.  

I wish to encourage all staff, students and our collaborators to take part in events and programs that will help to facilitate the vision and the mission of FASME and for that matter AAMUSTED, and further wish to invite applications from the diaspora to be trained by our competent faculty for better career progression, work future, diversity and peaceful Ghanian culture.
