The Quality Monitoring and Evaluation Section at AAMUSTED-K is responsible for ensuring that the university’s programs and services meet the highest standards of quality. The section develops processes and benchmarks for quality assessment, builds capacity within the university, and conducts self-evaluation exercises. Through its activities, the Quality Monitoring and Evaluation Section plays a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the quality of education and services provided by AAMUSTED.
The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Section at AAMUSTED-K plays a crucial role in ensuring quality assurance and enhancing the overall quality of education and services provided by the university. The section is responsible for developing processes and benchmarks for assessing and upgrading quality in teaching, research, and other university activities.
The core mandate of the M&E Section includes:
- Developing processes and benchmarks for assessing and upgrading quality in teaching and research.
- Building capacity within the university to support quality enhancement activities.
- Conducting self-evaluation exercises with particular reference to the mission, vision, and role of the university.
- Developing strategies to respond to quality assurance pressures and promote international competitiveness.
- Developing instructional monitoring and evaluation plans.
- Assessing academic research projects.
- Liaising with other departments to ensure quality aimed at satisfying the academic community and the job market.
- Providing oversight responsibility for subordinate staff.
- Developing monitoring schedules for academic and research work.
- Organizing orientations and workshops for Heads of Directorates and departments on Quality Assurance issues.
- Providing administrative support to the internal Audit office on evaluation of departmental requirements.
- Developing supervision schedules for various faculties on campus.
- Developing Standard Operations System (SOPs) for departments/offices in service delivery.
- Liaising with instructional advancement unit under DRIPIA on grants writing workshops for interested staff.
- Liaising with Alumni unit of DRIPIA to monitor the job market in relation to AAMUSTED graduates.
- Ensuring effectiveness and oversight responsibility of subordinate staff.
The Directorate is made up of three functional departments, headed by Sectional Heads who are Senior Administrative Staff.
