Francis Ohene Boateng is an Associate Professor of Applied Mathematics at the Akenten Appiah- Menka University of Skills Training and Entrepreneurial Development (AAMUSTED), Kumasi, Ghana and Director, Directorate of Quality Assurance, Planning and Accreditation. He possesses Ph.D. (Applied Mathematics), M.Sc. (Mathematics) and B.Sc. (Mathematics) all from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, Ghana, in the years 2019, 2006 and 2003 respectively. He also possesses Diploma in Education from University of Education Winneba, Ghana, professional certificates (IT Essentials, CCNA I, II, III & IV) from Cisco Academy and certificate of competence (CBT Facilitation, Assessment, Internal Verification and External Verification) from AAMUSTED.

His main research areas are Computational Mathematics, Mathematical Modelling with Differential Equations, Computer Applications in Mathematics Education. He also has keen interest in Interfacial Intelligence, IoT, Robotics and, Integration of ICT in Teaching and Learning of Mathematics. He has authored a number of peer- reviewed papers in refereed journals locally and internationally. He has over 15 years of teaching experience at the university and has handled a number of courses including: Numerical Analysis, Ordinary Differential Equations, Partial Differential Equations, Discrete Mathematics, Visual Programming, Computer Applications in Mathematics Education, Linear Algebra, Computing for Mathematics, Digital Media Production and Operations Research. He also has strong experience in undergraduate and post-graduate student project/thesis supervision.

He has successfully supervised over 50 post-graduate theses and over 300 undergraduate project works. He is a reviewer for reputable international journals such as Scientific Africa – Elsevier, Journal of Mathematics – Hindawi Publication, European Journal of Pure and Applied Mathematics, Journal of Advances in Mathematics and Computer Science, and Asian Journal of Probability and Statistics. He demonstrates good leadership skills, possesses high qualities of initiative, good team player and has excellent human relations.
